Terms of service
These terms are the agreement between you and SubmitStorm for the use of submitstorm.com and the directory submission service sold there. Please read them before you create an account or buy a package. In short: you buy a one-time package, give us one brief about your product, and we submit it to a set number of web directories and report every submission. Directories decide on listings themselves; we promise our work, not their decisions.
1. Who we are
SubmitStorm is operated by GrubGuru, a company registered in British Columbia, Canada ("SubmitStorm", "we", "us"). You can reach us at [email protected]. We answer within two business days.
2. The service
We submit your website, product or app (your "product") to third-party web directories, launch platforms and listing sites ("directories") chosen from our catalog, and we report the result of every submission to you. A package is a set number of directories: 100 for Growth up to 300 for Typhoon, each one growing by one directory for every badge from our badge component found on your site, up to the package's maximum shown on the pricing page. Every package also includes a set number of extra backlinks from medium and high authority sites (shown on the pricing page), built during the campaign and listed in your report. The current packages, prices and delivery times are on the pricing page and apply to every order placed while they are shown there.
Our team makes each submission by hand: we create the account the directory needs, fill in its form with the content from your brief adapted to that directory's rules, upload your logo and screenshot, handle badge and email requirements, and keep a proof screenshot. We never use bulk-submission software that posts the same form to hundreds of sites.
A submission is complete when your listing has been entered into a directory's submission flow and we hold a proof screenshot of it. Whether and when a directory publishes the listing, and how it links to your site, is the directory's decision (Section 7).
3. Who can use the service
You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a contract. The service is made for businesses, founders and professionals promoting their own product. If you buy as a consumer (a natural person acting outside a trade or profession), nothing in these terms limits the rights you have under the law of the country where you live; where these terms and that law differ, the law applies.
You may not use the service if you are in, or ordinarily live in, a country or territory under comprehensive EU, UK or US sanctions, or if you are on a sanctions list.
4. Your account
You need an account to order. Keep your password private; what happens under your account is your responsibility until you tell us it has been compromised. Give us a working email address: order confirmations and the final report go there. Directories write to a mailbox we set up for your campaign, and we handle those emails. You can change your name and password, download your data and close your account in Settings; closing the account is covered by Section 14.
5. Orders and payment
Prices are shown in US dollars and are one-time payments; there is no subscription and no automatic renewal. The price you see at checkout is the price you pay; where tax applies it is shown before you confirm. Payments are processed by Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. and Stripe, Inc.) on Stripe's checkout page. We never see or store your card number. By paying you also accept Stripe's terms for the payment itself.
The contract for a package is concluded when Stripe confirms your payment and you see the order in your dashboard; we email a confirmation at the same time. A promotion code, if one is offered, changes the price for that order only. If a price on the site is an obvious mistake, we may cancel the order and refund it in full before work starts.
6. Delivery
Delivery is digital. It starts when your brief is complete (Section 8) and consists of: the submissions themselves, a running count of them in your dashboard while we work, and, once every submission is done, the final report: every listing with its status, link and proof screenshot, in your dashboard and as Excel and CSV files sent to your email address. The list of directories is part of the final report and is not shown while the work runs. All submissions in a package are made within the delivery time stated on the pricing page for that package, counted from the moment your brief is complete. Packages marked "front of the queue" start before the others when a slot frees up; the rest are queued in order of payment.
If we fail to make the number of submissions in your package within the delivery time, we refund the part we did not deliver, in proportion to the package price, or, if you prefer, finish them and give you extra directories. Directories that were already listing your product when we checked do not count toward your package: we replace them with other directories.
The badge component is optional. When you place it on your site, each badge it shows that belongs to a directory in your order unlocks that directory; the order grows by one directory per badge found, up to the package's maximum. You can remove the badges at any time; directories that require a badge may then remove the listing, which is their decision.
7. What we cannot promise
- Approvals. Every directory decides whether, when and how to publish a listing, and may change or remove it later. A rejected, slow or changed listing is not a failure of our service.
- Link type. Each directory decides how it links to the sites it lists (for example followed or nofollow) and may change that at any time. We do not promise or report a link type.
- Results. We do not promise rankings, traffic, sales, or a specific Domain Rating or Domain Authority. These depend on your site and on third parties.
- Directories' terms. Each directory has its own terms and may ask for a paid upgrade, a badge or extra information. We never pay for a listing or an upgrade on your behalf: a directory that lists only for a fee, or only with a badge your site does not show, is skipped and replaced by another one. Your final report lists every directory we submitted to.
8. Your brief and your content
After payment you fill in one brief: product name, website, tagline, descriptions, category, tags, logo, screenshot, contact details and anything else a directory may need. "Fill with AI" can draft the brief from your website; you are responsible for what you save. You confirm that:
- the brief is accurate and not misleading, and you will keep it so;
- you own, or have the right to use and let us use, the name, logo, images and text in it;
- the product is yours to promote, is legal where it is offered, and is not in the list in Section 9;
- you understand that the brief is meant to be published on third-party directories and treat it as public.
You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to copy, adapt and publish the content of your brief for the sole purpose of submitting and maintaining your listings, for as long as the order and its listings exist. We may shorten or rephrase your descriptions to fit a directory's rules without changing their meaning. You keep every other right to your content.
Starting the work. Saving a complete brief is your request that we start the service at once, before the end of any withdrawal period. The brief form asks you to confirm this; Section 10 explains what it means for your right of withdrawal.
9. Products we do not submit
We refuse, and may cancel with a full refund of the undelivered part, orders for products that are or promote:
- anything illegal where it is offered, or that needs a licence the seller does not hold (including regulated financial, medical or legal services);
- adult content, escort or dating-for-money services; gambling, betting or lotteries;
- drugs and drug paraphernalia, tobacco and vaping products, weapons and ammunition;
- counterfeits, replicas, or anything that infringes someone else's trademark, copyright or other right;
- get-rich-quick, multi-level marketing, unregistered investment or cryptocurrency schemes, fake reviews, traffic or vote manipulation;
- malware, hacking tools sold for unauthorised access, spam tools, or services that help break another site's terms;
- hate, harassment, or content that demeans people for who they are;
- a product that impersonates another business or person, or whose site is not reachable.
We may also refuse an order where a directory's or Stripe's rules would be broken by it. If we cancel under this section after work has started, we refund the part not delivered.
10. Right of withdrawal (consumers in the EU, EEA and UK)
If you buy as a consumer in the European Union, the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of the order without giving a reason, by emailing [email protected] (you may use the form at the end of this page). If you withdraw before we have started, we refund the full price within 14 days to the original payment method.
Because the service starts as soon as your brief is complete, we ask you to request the start of the service during the withdrawal period and to acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed. If you withdraw after work has started but before it is complete, you pay for the part performed until we receive your withdrawal, in proportion to the package price, and we refund the rest. Our refund policy says the same in plain words and applies to every customer, consumer or not.
11. Refunds
Beyond the right of withdrawal: before we start, a full refund on request, no questions asked. After we start, the order can be refunded only for the part we did not deliver (Section 6), or where we agree that something went wrong on our side. A directory rejecting, delaying or changing a listing is not a ground for a refund by itself. Refunds go back to the original payment method, normally within 5 to 10 business days of our confirmation. Details: refund policy.
12. Accounts at directories
Many directories require an account. We create and keep those accounts ourselves; they belong to our fulfilment process, not to you, and we do not hand over their credentials. Where a directory needs to confirm something with you directly, we forward the request. If you want to manage a listing yourself later, most directories let you claim it; we help where we can.
13. Acceptable use of the website
You may not scrape, copy or republish our catalog or the content of the directory pages beyond normal personal use; probe, overload or interfere with the site; use another person's account; or use the site for anything unlawful. The lists we publish are for reading, not for building a competing database.
14. Term and closing your account
These terms apply for as long as you have an account or an open order. You can close your account in Settings at any time; open campaigns must finish or be stopped first. Closing removes your personal data as described in the privacy policy; order and payment records stay for as long as tax law requires, without your personal details. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, after telling you why, with a refund of any undelivered part unless the breach is the reason for the cancellation (Section 9).
15. Our website, catalog and brand
The website, its design and text, the catalog, the badge component code and the SubmitStorm name and mark are ours. You may use the badge component on your own site for the purpose it is made for. Directory names and badges on the site belong to their owners and are shown to identify them.
16. Liability
We are liable without limit for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, for death or personal injury, and wherever the law does not allow a limitation. Otherwise, our total liability for all claims connected with an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, lost data or the acts of third-party directories. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights, including the right to a service performed with due care, are not affected by this section.
If you buy for a business, you will compensate us for claims by third parties that arise from the content of your brief or from a product that breaks Section 9.
17. Changes
We may change these terms, the packages and the prices for the future. The terms in force when you place an order apply to that order. If we change these terms in a way that matters to you while you have an open order, we tell you by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect and you may close your account; the change then does not apply to that order.
18. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada, and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim there. We would rather solve a problem than argue about it: write to [email protected] first and we will try to settle it within 30 days. Consumers in the EU may also use out-of-court dispute resolution bodies in their country. Otherwise the courts of British Columbia, Canada have jurisdiction, subject to the mandatory consumer rules above.
19. Other things
If a part of these terms is found invalid, the rest stays in force. These terms, the pricing page, the refund policy and the privacy policy are the whole agreement between us about the service. We may hand over the agreement to a successor that takes over SubmitStorm; you will be told. Communications are by email, to the address on your account.
